Napa the land of wine and food~ not much of a wine fan but I was looking forward to the awesome food folks kept talking about in napa. So-o going a couple times I've just been blindly looking for resturants and it's been hit and miss...but this time, every single location we hit was a yum to the tum. In honesty though, my pictures don't have too much to do with the food because I was so busy eating it, I didn't really have much thought to taking pics of it...but anyways on with the pictures:
The light in napa when I went was so unbelieveably beautiful and soft practically all day! How is that possible?? This is the field at Mondavi winery:One of their select wines with a beautiful leaf (the leaf was $25! wow pricy but gorgeous)
Their logo I think~
Then there was a visit to opus one.
The view from the terrace of Opus, the picture doesn't do it justice though:

Ok I did finally after devouring all the food from breakfast lunch and a fab french dinner got to pause and think, forgot to take picture of food! aiee! Well, at the least I did get to take pictures of the beautiful and delicious dessert. Don't remember the names of these but that is caramelized sugar on top of the banana which was my favorite part of the dessert. Yumm crispy, soft, sweet, delicious all at the same time.
This was really really good, cake with persimmon in it. mmmmm....

RANDOM

EDIT ADDED ONE MORE THING TO THIS ENTRY WHICH I WAS ADMITTEDLY PROCRASTINATING FINDING THE LINK BUT FOUND IT. AREN'T CAPS LOCK FONT SO OBNOXIOUS? :D
Hey all! Just wanted to update at least with a couple things:
Picture that I recently took, I was just out and saw this beautiful tree/bush? with the lights hitting it streaming through the trees and just making the entire thing glow that of course one needs to capture it :) So here it be:

Inspiration for photographs I glean from so much resources, one of which are beautiful music videos. Especially is such when the music and the videography is so amazing. I love "Per te" by Josh Groban, it's so incredibly inspirational, powerful and strong. The visual, the music is so amazingly moving, it's nothing short of just fantastic. The setting is so simple but Josh and the actors bring so much emotion and heart...just go watch...let me see if I figure this embed thingy here...

Hello! This is where I added the portion where I am editing in new portion to my blog entry here:
Here is the link to a cool effect you can do here it makes the background blurry lights into neat little shapes like hearts instead of the standard pentagon or circle shapes which are also nice but think about it, heart shape lights! Neato right? Just go see the article...

Gentleman

Hey all! Sorry it has been quite a while since the last post.
This time I was able to take pictures of a guy not being part of a couple, which quite frankly is not a common feat! W you were really awesome modeling through pretty much the wierd visions I had which later made sense right? right? Starting off with one of my favorites near a freeway...
Some nice portrait shots to warm up...
I asked W to pretend he was looking into a mirror and adjusting his tie, or hair etc. I guess he has the natural model in him posing this way...
and that way
I asked W to jump around ALOT on this hill to catch this perfect moment: (the hills, his leg, the shadows all line up in parallel)(thanks again for all the moving around!)
Onto calmer settings loved the light in this room:
The mood in this one is a definite fave:

AQUARIUM

I got to visit a awesome aquarium which was a camera taking dream come true. There were so many folks taking pictures and you can see why right? Ocean life is so interesting...
Even this kelp looks so cool~
A school of fish taken just as they hit the beams of light from the surface...
The jellyfish area was quite incredible to see...

One of my favorites taken from the day--I love the blue tones:These guys were so-o cute, about the size of a penny...ok I think it probably would have been more interesting to state some facts about these creatures but I was so busy oohing and ahhing how awesome they were, I kinda didn't get a chance to...
How cool are they? There was this area where an jellyfish display was within a hallway with entire wall to wall from floor to ceiling showing of jellyfish. Quite an incredible thing to see.

REUNION

I got to attend an old high school friend's wedding as a guest, and yes though I was a guest I couldn't resist bringing my camera. It was a wedding but also a reunion among a couple of old high school buddies. It was great to see you guys kickin' and well! Check out this beautiful location, very private surrounded by stunning victorian houses that I believe are used for banquets.
The cute ring bearers, (going the wrong way! Maybe they just didn't want to miss a good photo op? ^_^)

While alot of phototaking was going on, I had to take a picture of my friend since she was decked out and looking so lovely!
An adorable kid
The happy bride and groom! (N and C) You guys look fabulous! Congratulations again guys!

FIRST

I had a great session with a wonderful couple expecting their child very very soon! We got to go to a local park with S and D. The couple recently passed their recent 5 year anniversary ! Exciting times are ahead for their cute daughter to come !
As with any park, there are alot of geese and duck and of course with that came poo, but that didn't faze the couple one bit on lying on the grass and getting some awesome shot. (we did find some patches of grass that were clean!)
Check out the hot bump!
Enjoying a peaceful moment:
Just a nice portrait moment--or maybe D is just tickling S's belly? hehe
S and D having a wonderful conversation next to a beautiful lake, with the beautiful golden light! :)
