ARIZONA

Some landscape photos from travel:

Woodpeckers live in cactus! They say that it is because cactus provide really great protection from heat and cold. I do wonder how they peck through with the cactus needles.

Inside of a cactus. Neat-o.M-i-c-k-e-y M-o-u-s-e! :)

Woodpecker home! See the hole at the top of the cactus? Love how the branches frame the cactus :)

An artist Chiluly (I think that's the spelling) was featured in the desert botanical gardens. He is the guy who did the ceiling work at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. You know those glass shells? (A t least that's what I had heard)There are trees too and not just cactus in Arizona. Gorgeous!

WEDDING

This is the first time where I was truly focused more on wedding photography than being a guest. The past couple times I took pictures here and there and yes this time I came as a guest too but was hoping to take more than the normal amount. I do realize that I still need an incredible amount of practice than I have and truly saw how different wedding photojournalism is than portrait. A challenge but able to learn alot. Thank you again so much N and D for the opportunity to capture some photos.

On to the photos!

Some photos of the beautiful and amazing details of the wedding:

Napa the land of wine and food~ not much of a wine fan but I was looking forward to the awesome food folks kept talking about in napa. So-o going a couple times I've just been blindly looking for resturants and it's been hit and miss...but this time, every single location we hit was a yum to the tum. In honesty though, my pictures don't have too much to do with the food because I was so busy eating it, I didn't really have much thought to taking pics of it...but anyways on with the pictures:
The light in napa when I went was so unbelieveably beautiful and soft practically all day! How is that possible?? This is the field at Mondavi winery:One of their select wines with a beautiful leaf (the leaf was $25! wow pricy but gorgeous)
Their logo I think~
Then there was a visit to opus one.
The view from the terrace of Opus, the picture doesn't do it justice though:

Ok I did finally after devouring all the food from breakfast lunch and a fab french dinner got to pause and think, forgot to take picture of food! aiee! Well, at the least I did get to take pictures of the beautiful and delicious dessert. Don't remember the names of these but that is caramelized sugar on top of the banana which was my favorite part of the dessert. Yumm crispy, soft, sweet, delicious all at the same time.
This was really really good, cake with persimmon in it. mmmmm....

RANDOM

EDIT ADDED ONE MORE THING TO THIS ENTRY WHICH I WAS ADMITTEDLY PROCRASTINATING FINDING THE LINK BUT FOUND IT. AREN'T CAPS LOCK FONT SO OBNOXIOUS? :D
Hey all! Just wanted to update at least with a couple things:
Picture that I recently took, I was just out and saw this beautiful tree/bush? with the lights hitting it streaming through the trees and just making the entire thing glow that of course one needs to capture it :) So here it be:

Inspiration for photographs I glean from so much resources, one of which are beautiful music videos. Especially is such when the music and the videography is so amazing. I love "Per te" by Josh Groban, it's so incredibly inspirational, powerful and strong. The visual, the music is so amazingly moving, it's nothing short of just fantastic. The setting is so simple but Josh and the actors bring so much emotion and heart...just go watch...let me see if I figure this embed thingy here...

Hello! This is where I added the portion where I am editing in new portion to my blog entry here:
Here is the link to a cool effect you can do here it makes the background blurry lights into neat little shapes like hearts instead of the standard pentagon or circle shapes which are also nice but think about it, heart shape lights! Neato right? Just go see the article...
